The Challenge
SGP Labs needed to migrate their website from WordPress to a platform that allowed them to manage content in an easier way. All their existing content had to be migrated to the new Webflow website while inheriting the design of the previous site. The other requirement was to speed up the website performance by simplifying the backend development.
Reasons for Migration
Wordpress was getting slower and slower. We were are adding more content to our website, but that impact the performance of the website. We needed a platform that was able to handle 200+ resources like articles, videos, and blogs, while preserving performance.
We wanted more control over the styling and the website overall. We wanted to have the ability to create new sections and pages by ourselves.
The website health was slowly getting worse with every WordPress update. We wanted to avoid spending unnecessary time improving the website speed and fixing new issues. We needed a new platform where we could simplify our layouts and prioritize the user experience.
The speed of the website was improved to offer a better user experience for website visitors. In addition, the website was developed in a way that allows the owner to create new pages by reusing existing sections. In other words, page sections are dynamic, which makes the page creation process really fast.
The usability is now improved and the SGP Labs team won’t need to worry about adding more content to their website and slowing down the backend workflow and the user experience.
